Wonderfill was developed primarily to fill in the tongue area for mandibular alginate impressions, but clinicians continue to find innovative ways of using this simple and inexpensive material, e.g., blocking out lingual appliances that would interfere with alginate impressions. In the following situation, a RPE would interfere with an impression for indirect bonding of the maxillary arch, but the Wonderfill blocked out the alginate and an accurate impression of the teeth easily occurred.
